Barney J. was born on December 25th, 1913 in Kemper County,MS. Barney J.'s father is Thomas Chalmers Baughman and his mother was Ida Mae Dell Daniel. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Baughman and MARY ANN BRECKENRIDGE; his maternal grandfather is James Hamilton Daniel and his maternal grandmother was Lou Ella Alexander. He had four brothers and a sister, named Vergil Dewitt, Hubert Lee, James Austin, Jeffery Orin and Marjorie Ann. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 58 on May 22nd, 1972. He was buried in Bay Springs Cemetery,Jasper County,MS.-
