John de Montague

John was born in 1299 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. John's father was William de Montague and his mother was Elizabeth de Montfort. His paternal grandparents were Simon de Montague and Hawise de St. Amand; his maternal grandfather was Peter II de Montfort and his maternal grandmother is Matilda de la Warre. He had three brothers and a sister, named Simon, William II, Edward and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 18 in 1317.
