Joseph Wetzel 
Joseph was born on February 27th, 1807 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Joseph's father was Conrad Wetzel and his mother was Anna Maria Strauss. His paternal grandparents were Johan Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Carl, Henry David, David A., Johannes, Peter, Lydia, Sarah, Anna Maria, Juda and Hannah. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 71 on June 3rd, 1878 in Swan Township, Noble County, Indiana. He was buried on June 6th, 1878 in Hopewell Cemetery, Swan Township, Noble County, Indiana.-
