Catherine was born about 1752. Catherine's father was Johannes Wetzel and her mother is UNKNOWN Hannah. Her paternal grandparents were Conrad Wetzel and Anna Catharine Bayer. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Conrad, Johannes Jr., Henry, Johan Jacob, Johan Adam, Anna Marie, Benigna, Elizabeth and Magdalena. She is the oldest of the eleven children.-
