Virginia was born in 1864 in Pendleton County, West Virginia. Virginia's father was Samuel Trumbo and her mother was Mary A. Warnstaff. Her paternal grandparents were William Trumbo and Susan L. Dyer; her maternal grandparents were Jacob Warnstaff and Catharine Pope. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Jacob, Reuben D., John Warnstaff, Jefferson G., Noah, George S., Susan Catharine, Anna R., Rebecca D., Laberta, Sarah A., Susan L. and Asenath Florence. She was the second youngest of the fourteen children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Minora. She died in Illinois.General Notes
