George Strother 
George was born about 1740. George's father was Francis Strother and his mother was Susannah Dabney. His paternal grandparents were William Jr. Strother and Margaret Thornton; his maternal grandparents were John Dabney and Sarah Jennings. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Dabney, Anthony, William Dabney, Frances, Robert, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary Wade, Behetheland and Susanna. He is the third youngest of the eleven children.-
