Francis Thornton 
Francis was born in 1651 in Petsworth, Gloucester, Virginia. Francis' father was William Thornton and his mother was Elizabeth Rowland. His paternal grandparents were William Thornton and Frances Robinson. He had two brothers and a sister, named William, Rowland and Esther. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named Luke and Edward. He died at the age of 75 in 1726 in King George County, Virginia.General Notes
