John Shaffer 
John was born in 1785 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. John's father was Paul Shaffer and his mother was UNKNOWN Catherine. His paternal grandparents were George Schaffer and Elisabetha Catherine Miller. He had six brothers and six sisters, named George, Paul, Peter, Heinrich, Michael, Daniel, Maria, Nancy, Susanna, Elisabeth, Esther and Catharina. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 65 on July 4th, 1850 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.-
