Franklin John Shaffer 
Franklin John was born on February 28th, 1872 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Franklin John's father was William M. Shaffer and his mother was Margaret Carter. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Shaffer and Elizabeth C. Cox. He had two brothers and a sister, named George Wilhelm, Charles Christopher and Callie M.. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 29 on June 25th, 1901. He was buried in Buckeye Cemetery near Morton, Tazewell County, Illinois.General Notes
