Clarence Carl was born on April 2nd, 1902. Clarence Carl's father was Luther Lewis Shaffer and his mother was Elsie Sweetwood. His paternal grandparents were Peter Shaffer and Martha Martin. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert Lewis, Paul Byron, Clara Edna, Etta Lorene and Ruth Louise. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 91 on February 22nd, 1994.-
