Sarah M. was born in Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Sarah M.'s father was John III Scarborough and her mother was Mary Ann Pierson. Her paternal grandparents were John II Scarborough and Sarah Ashby; her maternal grandparents were Robert Pierson and Mary Janney. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, John IV, Robert, Mary, Susannah, Elizabeth and Hannah. She died on February 4th, 1784 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.-
