William Ramsey 
William was born on April 23rd, 1793 in Virginia. William's father was James Ramsey and his mother was Ruth Van Meter. His maternal grandparents were Isaac Van Meter and Ruth Hedges. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, James V. and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 69 on July 20th, 1862 in Tazewell County, Illinois. He was buried in Briggs Cemetery, Tazewell County, Illinois.-
