Thomas was born on September 20th, 1712 in Abington, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Thomas' father was William Paxson and his mother was Abigail Pownall. His paternal grandparents were James Paxson and Jane Gurden; his maternal grandparents were George Jr. Pownall and Elinor Worrall. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James, Reuben, Mary, Abigail, Esther, Amy and Marrabeh. He died at the age of 66 in 1778 in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.General Notes
