Harald III Hardrade Sigurdsson of was born in 1015 in Bergen, Sondre Bergenhus, Norway.  Harald III Hardrade Sigurdsson of's father was Sigurd Halvdansson Syr and his mother was Asta Gudbrandsdotter Kula Rane.  His paternal grandparents were Halvadan Svarte Sigurdsson and Tora Ranesdatter; his maternal grandparents were Gudbrand Kula and Ulfhild Torasdatter. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Guthorm, Halfdan Sigurdson, Gunnhild and Ingrid Sigurdsdotter. He had a half-brother named Olav II (St.) Haraldsson of.  He died at the age of 51 on September 25th, 1066 in Battle of Stamford Bridge,Yorkshire,England.  He was buried in Maria-Church in Nidaros, Trondheim, Norway.
