Ole Mentzen Norderhus

Ole Mentzen was born on December 18th, 1769 in Norderhus, Lesja, Opland, Norway. Ole Mentzen's father was Mentz Olsen Schelderup and his mother was Anna Johan Henriksdotter Ziegler. His paternal grandparents were Ole Mentzson Scheldrup and Guri Christoffersdotter Norderhus; his maternal grandparents were Johan Heinrich Reinholtsen Ziegler and Marie Haldogsdotter Alme. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Johan Heinrich Mentzen, Ole Mentzen, Reinholt Mentzen, Mentz Mentzen, Guri Mentzdotter, Guri Mentzdotter, Mari Mentzdotter and Anne Mentzdotter. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 37 in 1806 in Lesja, Opland, Norway.
