Anne Mentzdotter was born on October 25th, 1791 in Norderhus, Lesja, Opland, Norway. Anne Mentzdotter's father was Mentz Olsen Schelderup and her mother was Anna Johan Henriksdotter Ziegler. Her paternal grandparents were Ole Mentzson Scheldrup and Guri Christoffersdotter Norderhus; her maternal grandparents were Johan Heinrich Reinholtsen Ziegler and Marie Haldogsdotter Alme. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Ole Mentzen, Johan Heinrich Mentzen, Ole Mentzen, Reinholt Mentzen, Mentz Mentzen, Guri Mentzdotter, Guri Mentzdotter and Mari Mentzdotter. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 91 in 1882 in Lesja, Opland, Norway.-
