Ragnhild was born about 1089.  Ragnhild's father was Magnus III Berrfott Olavsson of Norway and her mother was Margaret Frithpoll Ingesdottir of Sweden.  Her paternal grandparents were Olav III Kyrre Haraldsson of Norway and Thora Joansdotter; her maternal grandparents were Inge I the Elder Stenkilsson of Sweden and Helena (Helen) of Skovde. She had two brothers and a sister, named Eystein I Magnusson of, Magnus the Red and Thora. She had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Olav IV Magnusson of, Sigurd I Jorsalfar Magnusson of, Harald IV Magnusson Gille of, Sigurd Slembi-Deacon, Magnus Nielson of and Ulvhild (Inge) of.  She died in 1135.
