Anna was born before 1802 in Pennsylvania.  Anna's father was Peter Andrew Hauff and her mother was UNKNOWN Barbara.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Hauff and Anna Mary. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Benjamin, Joseph, Elias, John, Joshua, Leonard, Peter and Sally.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died in Green County, Tennessee.

‌Anna and Phillip were married in a religious ceremony on July 14th, 1814 in Rockingham County, Virginia.
