Maria Elizabeth was born on December 17th, 1767 in Pennsylvania. Maria Elizabeth's father was Johannes Peter Heimbach and her mother was Mary Barbara. Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Peter Heimbach and Mary Louisa. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Johannes Peter, Heinrich, William, John George, John Jacob, Catharine Barbara, Susanna and Catherine. She is the second oldest of the nine children.-
