Manes Heffner 
Manes was born on March 23rd, 1844 in Seipstown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Manes' father was Samuel Kohler Sr. Heffner and his mother was Maria E. Folk. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Kohler Jr., Henry, George, Daniel, Charles F., David, Peter, Solomon, Lydia H., Mary Ann and Catherine Maria. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 41 on April 22nd, 1885 in Vienna, Fairfax, Virginia.General Notes
