John C. Harper 
John C. was born in September 1845. John C.'s father was Samuel A. Harper and his mother was Mary Shaver. His maternal grandparents were Paul Shaver and Caroline Sarah Harper. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lafayette, Sylvester, Martin, Ulysses Samuel, Sarah A., Rachel and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died after 1872.-
