Cynthia Elinor Beatrix was born on August 16th, 1897. Cynthia Elinor Beatrix's father was James Albert Edward Hamilton and her mother was Rosalind Cecilia Caroline Bingham. Her paternal grandfather was James Hamilton; her maternal grandparents were Charles George Bingham and Cecilia Catherine Gordon-Lennox. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James Edward, Claud David, Mary Cecilia Rhodesia and Katherine Seymour. She was the second oldest of the five children.
