Owain ap Gruffydd 
Owain ap was born in 1180. Owain ap's father was Gruffydd ap Rhys and his mother was Susan (Maud) de Braose. His paternal grandfather was Rhys ap Gruffydd of Deheubarth and his paternal grandmother is Gwenlian verch Madoc of Powys; his maternal grandfather was William II de Braose and his maternal grandmother is Bertha de Pitres de Hereford. He had a brother named Rhys Ieuanne ap. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Emme and Matilda. He died at the age of 56 in 1236. He was buried in Strata Florida.-
