Philenah was born about 1778.  Philenah's father was Amos Dye and her mother was Mary Chamberlain.  Her paternal grandparents were John Dey and Mary Applegate; her maternal grandparents are Henry Chamberlain and Hannah Peters.  She was an only child.  She died on October 20th, 1827 in Bloomington, Ohio or Bloomington, Mclean County or Blooming Grove, Tazewell County, Illinois.  She was buried in Benjamin Cox Farm near Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio.

‌Philenah and Benjamin were married in a religious ceremony on March 9th, 1798 in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  They had seven sons and four daughters, named Amos, Moses, John, David, Benjamin, Nathaniel William, Marcus Aurlious, Mary, Hannah, Nancy and Margaret.
