John Cowger 
John was born on March 27th, 1784 in Hampshire County or Fort Seybert, Pendleton County, West Virginia. John's father was George Cowger and his mother was Hannah Elizabeth Hawes. His maternal grandparents were Peter Henry Hawes and Sarah Dyer. He had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Hannah Hawes. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 63 on September 30th, 1847 in Monon, Indiana.-
