Joseph Boxwell 
Joseph was born about 1753 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). Joseph's father is Robert Boxwell and his mother is Winifred Carty. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Robert and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the four children. He died in June 1838 in Allegany County, Maryland.
‌Joseph and Leannah were married in a religious ceremony on May 31st, 1796 in Frederick County, Virginia. They had five sons and five daughters, named Robert, Moses, Joseph, John, Nancy, Sally, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary and Letty.

Moses Boxwell
Moses was born about 1801 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He died after 1825.
Elizabeth Boxwell
Elizabeth was born about 1805 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). She died on April 7th, 1887 in Peoria, Illinois.
Martha Boxwell
Martha was born about 1807 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). She died after 1829.
Letty Boxwell
Letty was born about 1814 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). She died after 1839.
