Joseph Akers 
Joseph was born in 1758 in Virginia or Chester, Pennsylvania. Joseph's father was Thomas Akers and his mother was Mary Smith. His paternal grandparents were Simon Akers and UNKNOWN Mary. He had a brother named Simon. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 85 in 1843 in Floyd, Indiana.-
