‌Joris Jansen and Maria were married in a religious ceremony in New York.  They had six sons and five daughters, named Cornelius, Dirck, Gerrit, Janeke, John, Rutger, Styntje Christina Joris, Aefje, Hillegonda, Mary and Vrientie.
