Sarah was born in Virginia Or Maryland. Sarah's father was Robert Summers and her mother was Phebe Beals. Her paternal grandfather was William Sumners and her paternal grandmother is Eleanor Edwards; her maternal grandparents were John Beals and Sarah C Bowater. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Bowater, Caleb, Joshua, Thomas, Robert, Phebe, Prudence, Abigial and Ann. She had two half-brothers named Charles and John. She died on April 22nd, 1857 in Lafayette Twp, Owen, Indiana. She was buried in 1857 in Fender Cem, Owen Co, Indiana.-
