John Sheldon

John was born in 1820.  John's father was William Shelton and his mother was Catherine Hartley.  His paternal grandparents are George Shelton and Alice; his maternal grandfather was Samuel Hartley and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George, William James, Isaac, Samuel, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah.  He is the fourth oldest of the eight children.
