Sancha was born on September 21st, 1154 in Toledo, Castile, Spain.  Sancha's father was Alfonso VII King of Castile and her mother was Ryksa Queen of Castile.  Her paternal grandparents were Raymond de Bourgogne and Urraca Alfonsez of Castile & Leon; her maternal grandfather was Wladislav Prince Of Poland and her maternal grandmother is Agnes Princess Of Austria. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Sancho III Alfonsez and Constanza Alfonsez.  She died at the age of 54 on November 9th, 1208 in Monasterio de Jean, Spain.

‌Sancha and Alfonso II "The Chaste" were married in a religious ceremony in Zaragoza, Spain.  They had a son named Pedro II "The Catholic".
