Francis Berian was born on August 4th, 1858 in Mankato, Blue Earth Co., MN. Francis Berian's father was James Adams Lowery and his mother was Susannah Bussard. His paternal grandparents were Francis Lowry and Elsey Peterson; his maternal grandparents are Jacob Bussard and Elizabeth Arter. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Ellis, Peter B., Allen, Lincoln, James Adam, Joseph, Mary Elsie, Elizabeth, Sarah Ann, Rosa Bell and Nellie Grant. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 83 on March 27th, 1942 in Long Beach, Orange Co., CA.-
