Living's father was James Edward Green and her mother was Anna Louise Oddson. Her paternal grandparents are Miles Green and Elizabeth Scott; her maternal grandparents were Lars Aadsen and Ingeborg Tesdal. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Maurice Elwood, Milton, Woodrow Wilson, Wallace Sylvester, Clayton Armistice, Forrest Gordon, Orrell Joyce, Douglas Harmon, Marjorie Mildred, Dorothy May, Orra Joy and Eunice.-
