Richard Gifford 
Richard was born about 1527 in Milton, Devonshire, England. Richard's father was Anthonie Gifford and his mother is Dorothy Wikes. His paternal grandparents were John Gifford and Ebete Wood; his maternal grandfather is Richard Wikes. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Edmonde, Humphrie, Anthony, Emanuell, Ebbett and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died before 1620.-
