Ira Lester was born on February 24th, 1891 in MCAlester, Oklahoma. Ira Lester's father was Richard Mitchell Fender and his mother was Martha Ellen Moor. His paternal grandparents are Andrew Fender and Mary Ann; his maternal grandfather is William Hughes Moore and his maternal grandmother was Catherne Angelene Gaynus. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Thomas, Oscar, Isomar, William Ora, Marshel, Arlena Jane, Ethie, Nethie, Katherine and Parthenery Angaline. He died at the age of 92 on May 9th, 1983 in White Salmon, Washington. He was buried in Lyle, Washington.-
