John Jeremiah was born on April 7th, 1859 in Arkansas. John Jeremiah's father was Joseph A. Boyd and his mother is Mary Ann P. Booth. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Boyte and Susannah Keicher. He had a brother and two sisters, named William R., Amanda S. and Susannah E.. He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named Joseph Crawford and James Asa. He died at the age of 81 in 1940. He was buried in Longview Cemetery, Frio County, Texas.-
