Mark was born in 1772. Mark's father was William Anders and his mother is Mrs. John Andrews. His paternal grandfather was Robert Anders and his paternal grandmother is Sarah. He had two brothers named Laborn and John. He is the second oldest of the three children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry, Starling, William, Archibald, Elizabeth, Patsy and Jennie.-
