Alda Ruth was born on March 4th, 1926 in Geneva, Ashtabula Co., Ohio. Alda Ruth's father was Herbert Freeland Andrews and her mother was Madelle Lindsey. Her paternal grandparents were Ralza Spencer Andrews and Elmina Amelia Cornell. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Herbert Frederick, Glenn Harold, Paul Lindsey, Lucile Eleanor and Margaret Madelle. She is the youngest of the six children.-
