Her paternal grandparents were Marten Cornelise Van Buren and Marytjie Quackenbosch; her maternal grandparents are Barent MEINDERSEN and Eytje Cida UNKNOWN. She has seven brothers and three sisters, named Cornelis, Barent, Tobias, Marten, Marten Pieterse, Cornelia, Ephraim, Marritje, Eytie and Maria.
