Mary was born about 1380 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.  Mary's father was Robert John Stewart and her mother was Annabella Drummond.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Stewart and Elizabeth MURE; her maternal grandfather was John Drummond and her maternal grandmother is Mary Montifex. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, David, Robert, James I, Margaret, Princess Of, Margaret, Egidia and Elizabeth Princess Of.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had four half-brothers and twelve half-sisters, named Murdoch, John, Andrew, Robert, Isobel, Janet, Janet, Beatrix, Mary, Margaret, Joan Margaret, Elizabeth, Egidia, Isabella, Marjory (Marcelline) and Johanna.  She died in 1458 in Scotland.  She was buried in Strathblanechaple, Strathblane, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
