Matthew SHIELDS

Matthew was born about 1688 in , James City Co., Va.. Matthew's father was James SHIELDS and his mother was Hannah MAROT. His paternal grandfather was Robert SHIELDS and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth BRAY; his maternal grandparents were Jean (John) MAROT and Anne PASTEUR. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died on April 4th, 1766 in York Co., Virginia.
