Hester ROOME 
Hester was born in 1701 and her baptism took place on February 9th, 1701 in Ref Prot Dutch C, New York, Kings, Ny. Hester's father was Pieter Willemse ROOME and her mother was Hester VAN GELDER. Her paternal grandparents were Willem Jansen (Janszen) ROOME and Jannetje JANS; her maternal grandparents were Johannes VAN GELDER and Tanneken MONTENAC. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Willem, Johannes, Jacob, Pieter Pieterse, Jannetie, Janneken, Jannetken, Maria, Mariah, Ariaentje and Anna. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 91 on December 4th, 1792.General Notes
