William Nance

William was born on April 3rd, 1834 in , , Tennessee.  William's father was Josiah Crenshaw NANCE and his mother was Bethenia Harden Sneed.  His paternal grandfather was William Howe Nance and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Veneable Morton; his maternal grandparents are James Sneed and Bethenia Harden Perkins. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named James, Costantine, Josiah, Nicholas Charles, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Bethenia, Martha Harriett, Susannah, Sallie and Virginia Tennessee.  He was the third oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 28 on October 24th, 1862.
