David MC KAY 
David was born on May 3rd, 1844 in Geise Nr Janetstown, Thurso Parish, Cathness, Scotland and his baptism took place on June 3rd, 1844 in Free Church, Thurso Parish, Cthness, Scotland. David's father was William MCKAY and his mother was Helen (Ellen) OMAN. His paternal grandparents were John MCKAY and Barbara MUNRO; his maternal grandparents were David OMAN and (2) Isabella SUTHERLAND. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, John George Sinclair, Isabella, Barbara, Williamena "Ena" and Catherine. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
