Richard Richmond was born on March 31st, 1785 in Washington, Beaufort, NC. Richard Richmond's father was Richard S. KEELE and his mother was Lydia Richmond. His paternal grandparents were Arthur KEELE and Sarah MONNOTE; his maternal grandparents are John RICHMOND and Mrs. John RICHMOND. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, William M., Jacob, David, Thomas, Mary and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
