John Reuben Jenkins 
John Reuben was born on July 13th, 1827 in VA.1 John Reuben's father was Thomas Robert Jenkins and his mother was Martha Booker Fore. His paternal grandfather was Obadiah Jenkins and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Young; his maternal grandfather was James Fore and his maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William Hurt, Robert Thomas, Joseph Scott, Lafayette Rosser, George Washington, Sarah Ellen, Mary Ann Booker, Catherine Barnett, Martha Susan, Pauline Annette and America Virginia. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 74 in July 1901 in , Kanawha, VA.1 General Notes
