John JOHNSON 
John was born in 1821 in , Washington, Va. John's father was George Washington Johnston and his mother was Sarah Barnett. His paternal grandfather is John William Johnston and his paternal grandmother was Nancy Hilton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Calvin, Campbell, Charles C., Francis Marion, Elizabeth Adealine, Mary Jane and Margaret. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on October 27th, 1890 in Rich Valley, Smyth, Va.General Notes
