Thompson was born in 1757 in ,Albemarle,Virginia. Thompson's father was David EPPERSON and his mother was Hannah Judith Thompson. His paternal grandparents were John Epperson and Elizabeth Miehaux; his maternal grandparents were ROBERT Thompson and Jane UNKNOWN. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named David, Francis, JAMES, John, William, ROBERT, Charles, Lucy Jane, Judith, Susanna, Hannah and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 79 on June 9th, 1836 in Franklin, GA.General Notes
