Peter was born about 1428 in Of, Hatton, Cheshire, England. Peter's father was John DUTTON and his mother was Margaret ATHERTON. His paternal grandparents were Hugh DUTTON and Petronell De VERNON; his maternal grandparents are William ATHERTON and Elizabeth PILKINGTON. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Geoffrey, Cicely, Ellen, Elizabeth and Miss. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on April 8th, 1502.
