Mary Irene Clement 
Mary Irene was born on July 23rd, 1837 in Dryden, Tompkins, NY. Mary Irene's father was Thomas CLEMENT and her mother was Elisabeth(Betsy) FOOTE. Her paternal grandparents were Darius CLEMENT and MEHITABLE GRISWOLD; her maternal grandparents were David FOOTE and Irene LANE. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Albert, ALVAH, Darius Salem, Thomas Alma, Marilla, Nancy, Louisa, Sarah Loretta and Laura Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 38 on August 22nd, 1875 in Fairview, Sanpete, UT. She was buried on August 24th, 1875 in Fairview, Sanpete, UT.General Notes

She died of appendicitis. She was an excellent seamstress and left much beautiful work and clothes.
A dark haired beautiful woman with a quiet nature. She was left an orphan at less than five years of age.
Her father moved to Arizona with his second wife , Jane Gibson. Mary and her brother, Darius age 3, were reared by their sister, Nancy and Walter Cox.
She was married in the Logan Temple, November 16, 1887. They went with another couple by wagon.
Her wedding dress was blue brocaded velvet, a gift from her father. Of course, she wore the usual white one in the temple.
She was 5 foot 5 inches, blue eyes, rich dark brown hair (almost auburn) luxurious, thick, long and wavy; nice size and build with good teeth.
She arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in 1848.
